Okay, we're going to fail on one account, and I'm certainly hopeful that it will not cost us readers.
Most of the followers know that I've written a little book (which has been called hilarious) called Naked Metamorphosis. Well, I've been told that I've the opportunity to achieve a pretty cool goal - more on that later. Needless to say, this is a chance to achieve a solid foundation, keep the Authors Speak going, and make hundreds of people delighted with a book worthy of that ten bucks that's been burning a hole in your pocket.
Yes, I've stooped to doing self promotion. I'm sorry readers. Next week will be a new week.
I'm begging you to help me out. If you've not picked up a copy of Naked Metamorphosis, please do so. If you have and you liked it, pick up a copy for a friend. It really makes a great gift. For who, you may ask? Well, here's a list of people the book would be ideal for:
- High School students who will be suffering through the readings of "Hamlet" this year;
- College students studying the intricacies of Kafka;
- Any nerds who love Kafka and Shakespeare (and debate what the offspring of them would be like, were it possible);
- Literary geeks;
- People who have not lost their sense of humor to Fox News;
- Anyone who questions the existence of gay characters in contemporary literature;
- Anybody who knows who Alfred Lunt is;
- People who like bizarro;
- People who aren't sure what bizarro is;
- Your mother with the English degree who enjoys play on classics - you know, Gregory Maguire's work and such;
- And...
In fact, if you pick up both a copy of my book (following the link below) and a copy of David Barbee's "Carnageland" (link also below, and should help with free shipping), I'll throw in a cool gift. Listen up, kids. Here it is:
Purchase a copy of both books and you will be entered into a drawing for a very cool grand prize. Just email me and let me know you purchased both copies just now. Here's what you stand to win:
- A certificate for my first born (priceless);
- An autographed first edition of James Morrow's "The Last Witchfinder";
- An audiobook of the wonderful rendition of "World War Z" featuring Mark Hamill, Henry Rollins, Carl and Rob Reiner, Alan Alda, and so many more;
- Copies of the new entries to the Women of Paranormal Fiction event: Kelley Armstrong's "Waking the Witch", Marjorie M. Liu's "A Wild Light", and S.M. DeSilva's "Blood On the Moon";
- And, a personal offer to autograph your book and cover all shipping.
Next week's big. So until then...go buy my book!
