OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS (and this project sounds very, very cool)

Thank you, loyal readers, for tuning in for our first ever broadcast on blog talk radio.  It was a lot of fun and I think it was a positive step in the right direction.  Watching you interact via chat (not to mention the callers) was excellent.  The feedback was grand, as well, and I hope you'll keep it coming.  I also expect the same crowd for Daniel Wallace this week (this man is one of the biggest mover-shakers in the Lucasfilms universe).

If you missed the broadcast, you can always download it for free here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/theauthorsspeakcom/2010/09/25/the-authors-speak-the-reverend-steven-rage

At the beginning of the show, I had a special announcement for our writers out there.  Withersin Magazine has a wonderful new imprint and it is currently open for submissions.  Withersin Magazine is an amazing publication.  If you've not had a look at this magazine, do yourself a favor and visit them on the web: http://www.withersin.com/.  In fact, bookmark the name in your cerebral cortex because Withersin has already made the cut for the holiday gift giving guide.  You'll hear us mention them again and again and again.

Atomic Avarice is a dynamic new project.  If you missed the broadcast, the submission details are below.  I encourage all of you to polish your best stuff up and send it over as soon as possible.  Cheers!

Atomic Avarice
Complacent disobedience.

* Prose/ Fiction – No more than 3,000 words

Theme: Atomic Avarice is seeking work that is inspired by notions of civil disobedience and revolutionary (evolutionary) ideology for its debut edition. Work can be science fiction, fantasy (no unicorns please), horror, prose or whatever genre best suits your passion. This is not a call for disgruntled, political banter or violent, ignorant rants but a rally to challenge the status-quo of the complacent witness with intelligence, creativity, and spirit.

In short, Atomic Avarice wants to know if you know you’re alive.

  1. I sold a story to Atomic Avarice in August 2012. It is March 2013, the story has been published and I have received no payment for the story. As well, the magazine has not answered any of my 3 emails requesting payment and/or explanation.
